JOIN US - Hand in Hand Crossing for Inclusion

As part of the lead into the Fremantle Football clubs Purple Hands round, WA football will unite to cross Matagurup Bridge – Hand in Hand to highlight disability inclusion.

Representatives from Government, community, and all people passionate about disability inclusion are invited to join players and families from Starkick community clubs, Perth Football League Integrated teams and the Fremantle Football club as we unite hand in hand in what will be a historic event.

As part of the days highlights teams from the Integrated Football league will play the curtain raiser prior to the Fremantle v Carlton game, then at Half time Starkick players from across WA will “take over” Optus stadium in a series of games.

By coming together, we aim to raise awareness and create a more inclusive and accepting society where everyone has the opportunity to participate and belong in our great game.

Time: Arrival by 12.30pm (Crossing starts at 12.45pm sharp)
Date: Sunday 9th July 2023
Meet: Trinity College Tennis courts, Swan River Foreshore
(Refer flyer)

The Starkick program is the WAFC’s junior program supporting children with disability in participating in community football.
