THE POWER OF JUNIOR FOOTY

‘Hello Everyone, My name is Cameron and I’m an Ellenbrook Starkick player.

I'm 6 years old and I was born with Kabuki Syndrome. In my short little life, I've already had a couple of surgery's on my heart, kidney, eye and ear’s to fix the broken bits on my body I was born with.

Also, I can't see very well as I was born with a vision impairment, so I rely on my Mum, family, friends and teacher's at school to help keep me safe.

I have some other ongoing autistic traits that I do constantly throughout the day when I start to feel a certain way, but I have my own ways to help myself regulate my big feelings and big emotions by screaming, yelling, repeating words/sentences, singing, fluffing my hands or playing with my toys and car keys.

I go to school every day, I love learning colours, numbers, swimming and cooking. I even catch the bus to and from school every day. On the weekends I love spending time with my family, watching my favourite movies, exploring new places and trying new activities even if they are out of my comfort zone like football!

It's only been a few weeks but I'm very excited to put my uniform on and go to Starkick to see all the boys, coach Dan an Uncle Jack.

I'm very loud and full of energy, you can hear me before you see me but once you get to know me you can't forget me.

My name is Cameron Jones and I'm a STARKICK player!
