Congratulations Amanda-Jane Peacock from Piara Waters JFC Starkick Centre who was named the Western Australian Disability and Inclusion Volunteer of the Year at the 2021 Sandover Medal Night.

Amanda-Jane has been on the committee for Piara Waters JFC since the club’s inception in 2013, as Junior registrar and then Auskick registrar. Amanda Jane continues to be the Auskick registrar, but noticed a gap, so has helped instigate the club in bringing Starkick onboard. Starkick is an all-abilities program, which has seen 22 new participants register at Piara Waters JFC this season. She's doing an amazing job with those kids.

AJ has been an amazing force and driver for her club and community over many years. Her most recent contribution being to help foster and grow the reach of our game even further by launching a Starkick All abilities team for her community. Hers has been an amazing "Can do" story.  Starting from scratch with nothing but a strong desire, in just 18 months she has single-handedly built something special and something that will only continue to grow.  AJ has not only achieved her goal, but in the process, through her actions, it has resulted in her club, and football in general being a more welcoming and inclusive place for everyone. 

With 4 children of her own and 2 with autism I don't know where she finds the time, but the kids are thriving under the Starkick program, and we couldn't ask for a better person in this role.  Amanda Jane also coached her eldest sons’ team until it folded, which means, even though her children are not registered at the club, she is still around giving 200%.
